My name's Chris, and I came to photography later than most. Through my teens and twenties I stuck to point-and-shoots, grabbing snapshots on holiday or of family. It wasn't until I turned thirty that I bought my first DSLR (a Nikon D5000) and started taking it seriously.
The real shift came a few years later when I attended a beginners' course run by a local photographer in St Albans. It changed how I looked at everything: light, composition, the difference between a snapshot and a photograph.
Since then I've been chasing that difference, shooting landscapes, urban scenes, wildlife, and anything else that earns a second look. Have a browse.
